Whimsical and dreamlike, colorful and outlandish, Kei Kosa’s “VegetableFantasy”art reveals undiscovered worlds of incredible imagination―worlds constructed with and populated by members of the vegetable kingdom.

In KeiKosa’s digitally created images, peapod boats sail the sparkling seas; a voluptuous, long-legged carrot strolls through a colorful vegetable landscape; tomatoes drift en masse through
a nebulous green sky.

These wondrous images are like illustrations from a futuristic storybook,depicting a new Odyssey, a fairy tale of the digital age, a journey through lands created using organic forms and the most contemporary graphic technology.

Using digital photography, the artist transforms vegetable shapes into anthropomorphic characters, animals, land formations, even machines.

Kei Kosa’s works are rich with humor and splendidly fantastic,
creatively manipulated images in which nothing ordinary can be expected.

Kei Kosa works as a commercial photographer in Japan, and has exhibited work
in Tokyo.
